Remove app-local data
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Choose General, then iPhone Storage.
- Select GRIT WOD Timer.
- Choose Delete App and confirm.
Use Delete App, not Offload App. Offloading keeps the app's documents and data for a later reinstall.
What this removes
Deleting the app removes GRIT's locally stored timer settings, saved results, scores, notes, favourites, custom workouts, workout history, and locally saved Apple Health match summaries from that device.
What this does not remove
- Original workouts and health records held by Apple Health. GRIT only reads those records with permission and does not create them.
- Anonymous daily analytics aggregates that contain no account, persistent device identifier, workout content or reasonable route back to you. One-time date-only retry receipts are automatically deleted before 45 days.
- App Store download, purchase-history, or account information held by Apple.
- Messages you chose to send through Instagram, which are handled through Meta's service and controls.
Delete a feedback report early
Identifiable feedback reports are automatically deleted no later than 90 days after receipt. To request earlier deletion, message the authorised GRIT support account at @gritwod on Instagram and provide the eight-character receipt reference shown after submission. If you supplied a reply email with the report, provide that same email so GRIT can verify the request.
GRIT aims to complete a verified request within 30 days and confirms completion without returning the report contents. An ambiguous or unverifiable reference is not deleted until it can be safely matched. Deletion removes the report text, optional reply email, disclosed diagnostics, receipt and notification status from GRIT's protected feedback store. It does not affect app-local workouts or any Apple Health record.
Do I need to submit a request for app data?
No request is needed to delete app-local GRIT data because the developer does not hold a cloud account copy of your workout history. Delete the app using the steps above.
GRIT WOD is operated by Andrew Dunn, trading as Handy Andy 3D. For a question about these instructions, contact the public GRIT WOD account at @gritwod on Instagram.
